Tenya and Bobby Ingalls define success as freedom. They describe their business, BMJ Design Inc. as liberating as they now balance work and personal life with the ability to control both. With prior careers in personnel placement and homemaking neither had any experience with concrete. Now with 4 years of small business ownership they find themselves consistently booked with work 8 weeks in advance and making sure they schedule vacations and time for the family.

Bobby also joined a business networking club. This group of small business owners takes the time to learn about each others business and aggressively cross refers other members of the group. In this forum Bobby linked up with a pool company who flooded him with referrals and assisted in giving BJM Design a running start.

When asked about marketing their business the Ingalls’ shared three key points.

3. "LISTENING! We enjoy an excellent closing ratio when we meet with prospects and do estimates. Our success has developed from the fact that we do not try to sell what we think. We listen to the customer vision and describe how we can help."

Bobby Ingalls clearly believes the success of BMJ Design is about people to people communication. He proudly describes his customers as friends who want to help a new friend who made their vision become reality.

To date the majority of BMJ Design work has been outside residential. In the future the Ingall's hope to grow with increases in:
