Decorative Concrete Success Stories: BMJ Design Inc.

Tenya and Bobby Ingalls define success as freedom. They describe their business, BMJ Design Inc. as liberating as they now balance work and personal life with the ability to control both. With prior careers in personnel placement and homemaking neither had any experience with concrete. Now with 4 years of small business ownership they find themselves consistently booked with work 8 weeks in advance and making sure they schedule vacations and time for the family.
After attending the Engrave-A-Crete “Discovery & Training Seminar” in February 2006 Tenya and Bobby attacked the start of their business by quickly:
- Publishing Their Web Site www.BMJDesign.com
- Taking Out Phone Book Ads
- Volunteering Work In Front of Retail Establishments for Exposure
Bobby also joined a business networking club. This group of small business owners takes the time to learn about each others business and aggressively cross refers other members of the group. In this forum Bobby linked up with a pool company who flooded him with referrals and assisted in giving BJM Design a running start.
