10 Step Social Media Marketing Plan For Decorative Concrete

Let’s sum up with a way to use the big three Web 2.0 social media sites as part of your decorative concrete engraving business’ social media marketing plan.

Here is a sample of how you could use each of the three sites, Twitter, Facebook & YouTube in a structured and strategic fashion.

Step 1: Everyday you are on a job-site, log on to Twitter and announce where you are, and invite people to come and look at the work in progress.

Step 2: Take pictures of each and every job before you start, at every stage of the process and the finished job.  Write a short article about the job to post on either your blog, or your website and post a tweet on Twitter about the article.  Don’t forget to include the pictures in the article.

Remember: a blog would be the perfect venue for a series of articles, published day by day, that takes people through the process as it happens; a static web page would be more suited for a single article about the finished job.

Step 3: Take video of the job site, before and after and through each step of the process, maybe make it a talking head video where you are looking at the camera, showing the job and explaining what you are doing.

Always end the video with your contact info and invite people to call you up for a free estimate, or whatever kind of action you want them to take.

Step 4: Post these videos to YouTube with appropriate titles and descriptions – always include your contact info first in the descriptions.

Step 5: Embed these videos into your article, or blog post along with the pictures you took.

Step 6: Post a tweet on Twitter inviting people to look at the video of your completed job on YouTube, and while they are there, subscribe to your YouTube channel.

Step 7: Post an additional tweet inviting people to read the article about the job which will include pictures, and the YouTube video as well.

Step 8: Be sure that your Facebook page is automatically being updated by your blog feed, your YouTube feed, and your Twitter feed (Facebook will explain how to do this).

Step 9: Post your work schedule on Facebook so people know when you will be in their neck of the woods.

Step 10: Post a tweet inviting people to your Facebook page where they can see your schedule of jobs, invite them to pick a date to come and see you, and also invite them to become a “fan” of your page.

This is just one example of how you could use social media for marketing your business.

[...] Twitter can be a powerful tool as a business’ marketing platform, but to really get the most out of Twitter you can’t just rely on randomly Tweeting throughout the day about what you had for breakfast, and how your cat just rolled over. [...]
